Reviews on Booking.com and Tripadvisor: what to do with them
Reviews on Booking and Tripadvisor matter as much as the ones on Google, and they cannot be answered from Google. This is where each of them is answered, and why the same rules apply everywhere.
Answer them where they were written
Your Google profile can show scores and reviews from other sites, but on Google you can only reply to Google reviews. A review on Booking.com is answered in Booking.com's own environment for partners, a review on Tripadvisor in Tripadvisor's own tools for owners.
The same rules everywhere
- Thank the guest and name the actual point they made.
- No personal details, and no public offers of money or free nights.
- Reply in the language of the review.
- Sign with a real name.
The same story on three sites
A guest sometimes posts the same story on more than one site. Answer each one on its own site, briefly, with the same substance. One long reply pasted everywhere reads like a template to the next guest.
